Is the app meant for just parents?

The modern family looks very different than how it did a few decades ago and KidsWantU embraces that. That’s why all of the activities and games within the app are suitable for every family whether you’re a working mum, single dad, grandparent, aunt or foster carer.

Do the kids choose the activities?

KidsWantU is designed to give control back to the parent or carer so that they can also have as much fun as the child. You simply browse the activity options and select 3 that you would like to do and the AI randomly selects one which will be revealed by the balloon popping screen which the child can do.

Where do all the activities come from?

These activities have been collected and curated for over 10 years by a dedicated mum who has vivid memories of how hard it was to balance work/life responsibilities and do fun things together with her kids.

Do you need internet to use the app?

Yes, the KidsWantU app does require internet at this stage but we are keen to explore options that would make it accessible for those living in remote communities.

Are there party games in the app or activities for a large group of children?

At the moment we’ve aimed for most of the activities and games to be easily accessible for an adult with one or a few children. We would love to have a category for party games and group activities and hope to have it included in the next update.
